As a key member of the school community, you will have the opportunity to work with students of varying backgrounds and help them achieve communication and academic goals. Your expertise will be integral in providing targeted speech and language support, assessment, and intervention.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or Speech-Language Pathology
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Hold or be eligible for appropriate state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist
- Previous experience in a school setting is a strong advantage
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to collaborate with teachers, staff, and families
- Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment
Role Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations and assessments to determine students’ speech, language, and communication needs
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and speech therapy interventions
- Work closely with educators, counselors, and families to support student progress
- Maintain accurate records of services provided and student progress
- Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate on multidisciplinary teams
- Provide direct and consultative services in accordance with district and state guidelines
