Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students’ communication and language development as a Speech-Language Pathologist in an engaging, elementary school environment. Work with an elementary caseload (grades 1-5) of approximately 58 students, as well as a group of children ages 3-5 who are non-English beginning readers.

Required Qualifications & Preferred Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
  • Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
  • Eligible for relevant state licensure
  • Experience assessing and supporting elementary (grades 1-5) and preschool (ages 3-5) students
  • Knowledge of developing IEP goals and implementing therapy based on individual needs
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, teachers, and families

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in students grades 1-5 and ages 3-5 (non-English beginning readers)
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Document progress and maintain up-to-date records according to school policies
  • Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and parents to optimize student outcomes
  • Participate in IEP meetings and provide input on goals and accommodations
  • Adapt therapy approaches based on multicultural and multilingual student needs
