Make a meaningful difference in the lives of students as a county-wide, itinerant Speech-Language Pathologist for a supportive school system near Knoxville, TN. As a contracted SLP, you’ll work with diverse populations across various campuses, helping students reach their communication and academic goals. This full-time assignment runs from as soon as you’re available through the end of the school year.

Ideal candidates are passionate about supporting school-aged children and thrive in dynamic environments. You’ll expertly assess, diagnose, and provide intervention for students with communication disorders, collaborating closely with educators and families.

Desired Experience & Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) required
  • Valid or eligible SLP licensure for Tennessee
  • Previous school-based SLP experience preferred
  • Comfortable traveling between schools in the county as an itinerant provider
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in organizing caseloads and maintaining accurate documentation

Core Responsibilities:

  • Deliver speech and language therapy to students across multiple school sites
  • Screen, assess, and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student’s needs
  • Collaborate with teachers, other service providers, and families to support student success
  • Maintain organized and thorough records of services provided and student progress
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and provide insights for eligibility and re-evaluation
