Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Knoxville, TN

A contract opportunity is available for a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to work with schools near Knoxville, TN. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on students’ lives while enjoying the flexibility and professional support that a contract role provides.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
• Current SLP license in Tennessee (or eligibility to obtain)
• ASHA certification (CCC-SLP) preferred, but open to Clinical Fellows (CFY)
• School-based or pediatric experience is highly valued
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of an educational team
• Passion for helping students reach their full communication potential

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and communication assessments for students
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with communication disorders
• Provide therapy services in individual or group settings, tailored to student needs
• Document progress and maintain accurate records in accordance with school and district policies
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other staff to support student progress
• Attend IEP meetings and contribute expertise on speech and language development
• Participate in professional development as required or desired
