A contract opportunity is available for a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to work with schools near Knoxville, TN. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on students’ lives while enjoying the flexibility and professional support that a contract role provides.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current SLP license in Tennessee (or eligibility to obtain)
- ASHA certification (CCC-SLP) preferred, but open to Clinical Fellows (CFY)
- School-based or pediatric experience is highly valued
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of an educational team
- Passion for helping students reach their full communication potential
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and communication assessments for students
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with communication disorders
- Provide therapy services in individual or group settings, tailored to student needs
- Document progress and maintain accurate records in accordance with school and district policies
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other staff to support student progress
- Attend IEP meetings and contribute expertise on speech and language development
- Participate in professional development as required or desired
