Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA
- Washington state SLP licensure (or eligibility to obtain prior to start)
- Experience working within school settings is highly valued
- Exceptional communication and organizational skills
- Ability to develop rapport with students, staff, and families from diverse backgrounds
- Comfort with consultative and collaborative service delivery models
- Familiarity with IEP development and implementation processes
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide targeted therapy for students with speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders
- Assess students using standardized tools and clinical observation
- Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with IEP teams
- Document interventions and progress according to school and state protocols
- Consult and collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to maximize student success
- Attend and contribute to eligibility, annual, and progress meetings as required
- Promote inclusion by supporting classroom strategies and offering staff training when appropriate
