School Speech Language Pathologist - La Follette, Tennessee

Make a real difference in student communication and academic success as an itinerant Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) serving schools across the county. This full-time contract position, beginning as soon as possible and lasting through the end of the school year, will enable you to apply your expertise in speech-language intervention while enjoying dynamic, varied work settings.

Key Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
• Valid state licensure to practice as an SLP
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
• Prior experience in K-12 educational settings preferred
• Strong communication, organization, and time management skills
• Ability to adapt to multiple school environments and effectively collaborate with diverse teams

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide diagnostic assessments and direct therapy services to a diverse caseload of students across various schools within the county
• Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and document progress per state and district requirements
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to develop cohesive support strategies for students
• Support and implement best practices for speech and language development, including articulation, language, fluency, and social communication
• Consult with school staff regarding student concerns, accommodations, and program modifications
• Travel between assigned schools as part of a county-wide service model
