Make a meaningful impact supporting students' communication and learning with a school-based Speech Language Pathology role. This contract opportunity is located near La Mesa, CA, and welcomes experienced Speech Language Pathologists as well as candidates completing their Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY). You'll collaborate with educators and families to ensure every child has the tools they need to thrive.

Qualifications and Desired Skills:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Current California SLP licensure or eligibility (CCC preferred, but CFY candidates encouraged)
  • Previous school-based or pediatric SLP experience is a plus, but strong healthcare-based backgrounds are also welcome
  • Knowledge of IEP processes, progress reporting, and goal-setting
  • Excellent communication, organization, and time-management abilities
  • Familiarity with a range of assessment and therapeutic techniques suitable for K-12 students

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders in a school setting
  • Develop and implement therapy plans tailored to each student’s individual needs
  • Participate actively in IEP meetings and maintain accurate records and documentation
  • Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to support student success
  • Provide consultation and support to school teams regarding speech and language issues in the classroom
  • Monitor and document student progress, adjusting interventions as needed
