Make a real difference in the lives of young learners as a full-time Speech Language Pathologist supporting a preschool caseload in a vibrant educational setting near La Quinta, CA. Your expertise will help children achieve communication milestones and thrive both academically and personally.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Current ASHA (CCC) certification required
- Valid California SLP license
- Certification of Clearance (COC)
- Open to Clinical Fellows (CFY) as well as seasoned SLP-CCC professionals
- Experience in school-based settings, especially preschool, strongly preferred
- Familiarity with SEIS (Special Education Information System) is a plus
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and communication assessments for preschool students
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans in collaboration with educators and families
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes in compliance with school and state requirements
- Provide support and guidance to classroom staff to integrate communication strategies
- Engage in IEP meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary team members
- Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress and strategies for continued growth
