Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current SLP license in Louisiana (or eligibility)
- Experience working with students in grades K-12, especially in educational settings
- Comfort with both 1:1 and small group therapy
- Familiarity with IEP development and participation in the IEP process
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
- Adaptability and enthusiasm for working with diverse student populations
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students, individually and in groups, tailored to a range of age groups (K-12)
- Complete assessments, develop individualized intervention plans, and participate in team meetings
- Collaborate with teachers, caregivers, and other school staff to support students’ progress and communication needs
- Maintain accurate, timely records and contribute to ongoing IEP evaluations and annual reviews
- Serve as an informational resource for school teams and families regarding speech-language development
