1:1 Grades K - 5 Speech Language Pathologist in Lafitte, LA

Make a meaningful impact supporting students from kindergarten through high school as a School Speech-Language Pathologist. You’ll collaborate with educators and families while providing services to grades K-12, allowing for a dynamic and diverse caseload.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
• Current state licensure or eligibility as an SLP
• Prior experience with school-age children, especially in a K-12 setting
• Skilled in individualized assessment, treatment planning, and direct therapy
• Comfortable working 1:1 as well as partnering with teachers and multidisciplinary teams
• Strong communication and organizational abilities
• Dedicated, compassionate, and adaptable to working with children of different ages and needs

Responsibilities:

• Conduct speech, language, and communication assessments for students in grades K-12
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) based on unique student needs
• Provide 1:1 therapy sessions to support speech and language development
• Work collaboratively with classroom teachers, special educators, and families
• Maintain thorough documentation of services provided and student progress
• Attend meetings, contribute to IEP teams, and assist in goal setting for student success
• Stay up to date on best practices for pediatric speech therapy in educational settings
