Step into a dynamic role supporting students’ communication needs as part of a collaborative school-based team, with an assignment beginning August 10, 2026, and extending through December (with potential to continue for the full academic year). Work alongside an additional SLP and an SLPA, delivering essential speech and language services to three medically fragile classrooms during a maternity leave coverage at a well-supported elementary environment.

Highlights of what we’re looking for:

  • Valid SLP (CCC) or SLPA credentials recognized in school-based settings
  • Prior experience with Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices, supporting complex communication needs
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and support staff within a multidisciplinary team
  • Comfort and professionalism navigating medically fragile caseloads
  • Flexible, compassionate demeanor well-suited for elementary-aged students

Position Overview:

  • Provide direct and consultative speech-language services, including AAC device integration and training
  • Collaborate effectively with another SLP and an SLPA to ensure continuity of care and individualized student progress
  • Develop, implement, and update IEPs in conjunction with the educational team
  • Maintain documentation as required for student progress, treatment plans, and compliance with school policies
  • Offer guidance and support to educators and families, fostering a communicative, inclusive learning environment
  • Participate in team meetings, classroom activities, and professional development as needed
