Step into a rewarding contract opportunity serving elementary students in a supportive educational setting near Lake Elsinore, CA. This position begins August 10, 2026, and runs through December, with potential for extension through the full academic year to cover a maternity leave. You'll support three medically fragile classrooms, working alongside an experienced SLP and a dedicated SLPA to deliver high-quality speech and language services.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Speech-Language Pathologist (CCC-SLP) credential or SLPA certification
  • Direct experience working in school-based settings
  • Confidence and skill in evaluating and treating students who require Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices
  • Collaborative spirit, willingness to partner with teachers, families, and other therapists
  • Compassionate and adaptable, comfortable serving medically fragile children
  • Strong organization and communication abilities

Core Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct speech and language therapy to elementary-aged students, modifying methods as needed for medically complex learners
  • Perform assessments, develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), and document progress
  • Coordinate with classroom staff, a fellow SLP, and an SLPA to create integrated support plans
  • Consult with families to support continued growth and use of AAC devices beyond the classroom
  • Maintain accurate records and adhere to all district and federal guidelines
  • Participate in team meetings and professional collaboration within the site

This contract assignment offers a weekly schedule of 32.5–35 hours. You'll belong to a dynamic team focused on making a difference for students who benefit from specialized communication supports.
