This assignment spans the academic year and centers on delivering high-quality speech and language services as part of a dedicated support team. The position welcomes skilled travel professionals and values strong onsite presence to best serve students’ needs.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Active California SLP license and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) required.
- Prior experience in school settings (TK-12th grade) highly preferred.
- Competency in managing a caseload that may reach up to 60 students, including those from general education and moderate to severe populations.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organization skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language assessment, therapy, and consultation for students in TK-5th grade at the elementary level and 9th–12th grade at the high school campus.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s unique strengths and areas of need.
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student progress and advocate for effective learning strategies.
- Document services and student progress thoroughly, maintaining compliance with district and state guidelines.
- Participate in IEP meetings and professional development as required.
