You’ll work on a contract basis, focusing on campuses such as DeBary Elementary, South Daytona Elementary, University High School, T. Dewitt Taylor Middle High School, Champion Elementary, Hinson Middle, and Volusia Pines Elementary. Assignment lengths and weekly schedules vary from full-time to part-time positions, ensuring you can find the ideal fit for your expertise and availability.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current Florida SLP License (CCC required; supervision available for CFs)
- Previous experience with school-based caseloads
- Proficiency with severe-profound student populations and Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC)
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Must be comfortable working on-site (no teletherapy or SLPA roles)
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language therapy to students in accordance with IEP goals
- Conduct screenings, evaluations, and develop individualized treatment plans
- Maintain accurate records and progress notes
- Collaborate closely with teachers, support staff, and families
- Offer supervision as needed to CFs in the district
