Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Lake Orion, MI

Make a meaningful impact supporting students’ communication development as a Speech-Language Pathologist in a dynamic educational setting. This contract position offers you the opportunity to serve a diverse caseload across four school locations near Lake Orion, MI, with each site conveniently located close together (you’ll spend your workday at one school at a time, rather than traveling between them). You’ll play a pivotal role in helping approximately 10 students at each site—ranging from general education students with speech needs to those with mild ASD or cognitive speech challenges—unlock their full potential.

Key Qualifications:

• Active SLP license in Michigan with Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
• Prior experience in school-based speech services
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with educators and families
• Experience supporting students with autism spectrum disorder, cognitive speech needs, and general education speech concerns
• Ability to work autonomously within a team-focused environment

Position Overview:

• Contract role, needed ASAP through June 11, 2027
• Onsite service delivery only—no virtual options
• 37.5 hours per week during typical school hours
• Serve four nearby schools, with no multiple-site travel during the day
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Conduct evaluations, provide direct therapy, and consult on intervention strategies as needed
• Document student progress and participate in multidisciplinary meetings
