This full-time, on-site contract role spans the academic year, focusing on providing expert guidance across two middle schools. As an SLP who already has their Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC), you’ll use your experience to not only deliver high-quality speech and language services but also to supervise and support an SLPA delivering day-to-day interventions.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA
- Valid state licensure in Speech-Language Pathology
- Prior experience in school settings strongly preferred
- Demonstrated ability to supervise and mentor SLPAs
- Excellent collaboration, communication, and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in students
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in partnership with families and school staff
- Supervise and provide oversight for an SLPA who delivers most of the direct services
- Collaborate closely with teachers, counselors, and administrative teams to support student progress
- Document student performance, maintain detailed records, and report outcomes
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment
