Step into an exciting opportunity to support students across grades K-12 during the Extended School Year (ESY) program! Provide your expertise as a Speech-Language Pathologist from July 6 to August 14, working weekdays from 8:15 am to 2:15 pm in a dynamic, school-based setting near Lakewood, NY. This contract role allows you to make a meaningful difference during an important summer session, focusing on empowering children to reach their communication and academic goals.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Current or pending ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC) or eligibility as a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidate
  • Valid state licensure or the ability to obtain one prior to the start date
  • Experience working with pediatric populations, especially in school or healthcare environments
  • Strong organizational and communication skills to collaborate with faculty, parents, and other professionals

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct and consultative speech-language therapy services to K-12 students in alignment with their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans tailored to each student’s needs
  • Document therapy sessions, progress, and outcomes in accordance with school and clinical standards
  • Participate in team meetings and collaborate with teachers and specialists to foster student growth and engagement
  • Adapt to a diverse caseload, utilizing creativity and evidence-based strategies in a summer learning environment
