Make a meaningful impact in the lives of young learners as a Registered Nurse supporting a preschool program near Lakewood, NY. This contract position provides the opportunity to work closely with a small group of 12 preschool students, ensuring their health and well-being as they learn and grow in a supportive environment. The assignment runs from June 1 to June 25, aligning with the end of the school year (EOSY), with the option to extend into the Extended School Year (ESY) program during July and August if interested.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in New York State
  • Previous experience providing pediatric or school-based nursing care
  • Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient-centered approach
  • Ability to respond quickly and effectively in emergency situations
  • Collaborative mindset for partnering with educators, therapists, and families

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver daily nursing care, administer medications, and manage health plans for preschool students
  • Monitor student health, manage acute and chronic conditions, and respond to any emergencies
  • Maintain up-to-date health documentation and records as required by school policies
  • Educate staff and students on wellness, hygiene, and basic health practices
  • Serve as a vital resource to students, parents, and faculty, fostering a safe and nurturing school climate
