Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active state licensure or eligibility for licensure as an SLP
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) welcomed, but Clinical Fellows (CFY) encouraged to apply
- Experience delivering healthcare, pediatric, or school-based SLP services preferred
- Solid knowledge of IEP writing, documentation, and progress monitoring
- Effective communication and collaboration skills with students, staff, and families
- Compassion, flexibility, and adaptability in dynamic school settings
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in K-12 students
- Develop and implement individualized IEPs, intervention plans, and therapy goals
- Consult with teachers, families, and school staff to support student success
- Maintain accurate records and comply with state and federal special education regulations
- Participate in IEP meetings, multi-disciplinary teams, and professional development
- Educate and empower students and their support networks on communication strategies
