Step into a dynamic school environment as a Speech-Language Pathologist serving a dedicated elementary student population near Lakewood, WA. This onsite, contract-based position runs from early September 2026 through mid-February 2027. You’ll collaborate with school professionals in supporting approximately 40 students, providing essential speech and language services to promote their academic and social success.

Your focus will be on direct therapy, evaluations, and consultation, with no students on your caseload currently requiring AAC supports or presenting medically complex needs. The school also features a behavior program, where your expertise will make a difference for students with behavioral needs. This is a fantastic opportunity to make an immediate impact while developing your practice within a well-supported school setting.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Active Washington SLP licensure and fingerprint clearance through OSPI (or willingness to obtain)
  • Washington ESA certification (or eligibility)
  • SLP-CCC credential required
  • Previous school-based experience strongly preferred
  • Strong communication and collaborative skills

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct speech-language services to a caseload of approximately 40 students
  • Conduct assessments, develop IEP goals, and document student progress
  • Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student outcomes
  • Participate in meetings and contribute your expertise to the school’s behavior program
