School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Lakewood, Washington

This contract position offers a fulfilling opportunity to contribute to students’ success alongside educators and families, addressing communication needs in a supportive school environment.

Your expertise will help shape confidence and foster progress in students of varying ages. With a manageable, split caseload between elementary and middle school, you’ll have the chance to collaborate with a diverse team and implement innovative therapy strategies. The position is full-time—37.5 hours per week—running from ASAP through June 2027, allowing for long-term connections and lasting impact.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
• Valid state SLP licensure or eligibility to obtain
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred
• Previous experience working in school settings with K-8 populations is highly desirable
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to collaborate with educators, staff, and families

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess, diagnose, and provide direct speech and language therapy to students
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education programs (IEPs)
• Collaborate with teachers and support staff to integrate therapy into daily activities
• Maintain accurate student records and progress reports
• Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team planning
• Support school-wide communication initiatives and family engagement efforts
