Key Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Active Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
  • Current licensure (or eligibility for licensure) as an SLP in New Mexico
  • Previous experience working in school settings, providing evaluation and therapy to students, preferred
  • Strong interpersonal communication and collaboration skills
  • Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive learning environment

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments and develop individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with speech/language needs
  • Provide direct therapy and intervention in accordance with IEP goals
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress
  • Maintain thorough and compliant documentation of services and student outcomes
  • Serve as an advocate and resource for speech and language development within the school community
  • Adapt caseloads according to personal preference and experience, ensuring the best fit
