This valuable role calls for an enthusiastic Speech-Language Pathologist ready to make an impact in a school-based pediatric setting. As a vital member of a collaborative team, you’ll help shape young communicators and lead by providing supervision and mentorship to two dedicated SLPAs.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current or eligible Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC), or Clinical Fellow seeking CFY
- State licensure (or ability to obtain prior to start)
- Experience in school or pediatric settings strongly preferred
- Ability to supervise and mentor Speech-Language Pathology Assistants
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Commitment to evidence-based practice and individualized student care
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations for students with diverse needs
- Develop and implement effective, individualized treatment plans
- Provide direct therapy and documentation per student IEPs
- Supervise and support two SLPAs, offering guidance, feedback, and professional development
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, teachers, and families to promote student growth
- Maintain accurate records, progress reports, and compliance with school policies
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of academic plans
