Make a profound impact as a Bilingual (Spanish/English) Speech-Language Pathologist, supporting a medically fragile, bed-bound middle school student in a dedicated, one-on-one setting. This contract opportunity near Lansdale, PA (just 15 minutes west of Philadelphia) is ideal for professionals seeking a meaningful, long-term commitment during the 2024-2027 school years, with the chance to start immediately or at the next school year.
In this pivotal role, your expertise will be essential in providing direct speech-language therapy services for 2.5 hours per week, as part of a comprehensive care team including OT and PT. The district especially values continuity and partnership, hoping to collaborate with a provider who can grow with the student—potentially extending hours as the schedule allows. While a bilingual (Spanish/English) SLP is strongly preferred, highly skilled non-bilingual SLPs are welcome to apply, as interpreter support may be available if needed.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid CCC-SLP credential and license for practice in Pennsylvania
- Proficiency in both Spanish and English (bilingual strongly preferred)
- Experience working with pediatric, medically fragile, or non-ambulatory students
- Capacity to build strong, supportive relationships with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Commitment to consistency and a long-term assignment
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized speech-language therapy in the student’s home environment
- Collaborate with occupational and physical therapists to optimize student outcomes
- Communicate effectively and compassionately with Spanish-speaking family members
- Document progress and maintain compliance with all educational and medical guidelines
- Adjust and adapt strategies as the student’s needs evolve
This unique position offers the chance to make a lasting difference in a student’s life and develop meaningful connections with their family and care team. Take the next step in your career—apply today and help shape a student's success story!
