What you'll bring to the role:
- Current, active Speech-Language Pathologist license for the state of Michigan
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) required
- Previous experience in school-based or pediatric settings strongly preferred
- Ability to thrive independently and collaborate within multidisciplinary teams
- Strong commitment to supporting student growth and communication goals
- Please note: this assignment is not open to Clinical Fellows (SLP-CFs)
Primary responsibilities include:
- Conducting speech-language screenings, evaluations, and therapy for K-4th grade students
- Developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Documenting student progress and maintaining comprehensive records in accordance with school and state guidelines
- Consulting with teachers, families, and support staff to maximize student success
- Participating in IEP meetings and contributing insights for student advocacy
- Staying up-to-date with best practices in speech-language pathology
