Qualifications and Experience Desired:
- Active state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Previous experience working with diverse school-age populations (K-5, 6-8, 9-12) highly preferred
- Strong understanding of speech/language development, assessment, and intervention best practices
- Skilled in writing and implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Collaborative mindset for working closely with teachers, staff, and families
- Excellent communication, organization, and documentation abilities
- Adaptability to address varied student needs and support inclusive learning
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide evidence-based speech and language therapy to students ranging from kindergarten through high school
- Evaluate students' speech, language, and communication abilities using standardized assessments
- Develop individualized treatment plans and monitor students’ progress toward goals
- Participate actively in IEP meetings and contribute expertise to multidisciplinary teams
- Offer guidance and education to teachers and families to support effective strategies within the classroom and at home
- Maintain accurate records of services, evaluations, and progress reports in accordance with school requirements
- Foster an encouraging and supportive environment where all students are empowered to reach their full potential
