Step into a rewarding contract opportunity providing onsite speech-language therapy services to K-12 students. This dynamic role involves direct and group interventions to address a full spectrum of communication needs within an engaging, collaborative school environment. Multiple positions are available in communities around Grand Blanc, Lansing, Detroit, and neighboring areas.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Current SLP license or proof of completed application with pending status considered for new school year placements
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC) preferred; strong Clinical Fellows (CFY) also welcomed (especially with a supervisor established)
  • Willingness and ability to work onsite in school settings
  • Comfortable supporting diverse K-12 student populations, including those in urban communities
  • Official university transcripts must be submitted before district review
  • Experience collaborating with teachers, families, and school teams
  • Skill in developing IEPs, setting student goals, conducting therapy, and maintaining compliance documentation

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized and group speech-language therapy to students across grade levels
  • Collaborate with staff and parents to promote classroom integration of therapeutic strategies
  • Participate in IEP/MET meetings, set annual goals, and monitor progress
  • Complete evaluations, write reports, and support eligibility determinations for special education services
  • Provide consultative support, professional development, and in-service training to school staff on SLP best practices
  • Assist students and teams in the use of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems
  • Maintain therapy materials and travel as needed between school sites
