Exciting opportunities await onsite Speech-Language Pathologists seeking a contract assignment for the upcoming school year! Multiple positions are available to support K-12 students in areas near Grand Blanc, Lansing, Detroit, and the surrounding region. Clinical Fellows will also be considered, with preference given to those with an established supervisor.

Candidates will deliver targeted, direct therapy to students, both individually and in groups, addressing a range of speech and language needs. Collaboration is key—work closely with teachers, families, and support staff to foster communication development and promote student success within urban school settings. You’ll also contribute your expertise during IEP and MET meetings, developing individualized goals and objectives that drive student achievement.

Key Qualifications:

  • Holds or is eligible for Michigan SLP licensure (proof of application required if in progress)
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) strongly preferred; CFYs welcome
  • Experience or willingness to work with diverse, urban student populations
  • Comfortable providing onsite, in-person therapy at multiple school buildings
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
  • Ability to develop and implement AAC strategies is valued
  • Must provide official university transcripts before candidacy review

Responsibilities include maintaining thorough records and reports, leading professional development sessions for staff, evaluating student needs, and ensuring resources and materials are organized and available. Candidates may be asked about challenges facing urban children and appropriate resources for their families during interviews.

This contract position spans the 26/27 school year (August 17 – June 11), with a commitment of 35 hours per week.
