6th Grade 8th Grade School-Based Speech Language Pathologist | Lapwai, Idaho

Step into an impactful role supporting students from kindergarten through grade 12 as a Speech-Language Pathologist for the 2026-2027 school year. In this contract position, you'll provide essential in-person services to students ranging from first grade through high school seniors, ensuring they receive the individualized support they need for academic and personal success. With multiple openings available, you'll be able to work at either the elementary, middle, or high school level based on your preferences and expertise.

With the current SLP retiring, there are numerous opportunities to bring your skills to a welcoming educational community where your work makes a difference. Caseloads are thoughtfully managed, with the goal of maintaining sizes between 50-60 students, allowing you to focus on quality therapy while fostering student relationships.

What we’re looking for:

• Relevant certification or licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
• Experience working with school-aged children (elementary, middle, or high school)
• Familiarity with developing and implementing IEPs and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
• Strong communication and organizational abilities
• Flexible attitude to work in elementary, middle, or high school settings

What you’ll be doing:

• Providing direct, in-person speech-language therapy to K-12 students
• Assessing students’ needs and creating individualized treatment plans
• Working collaboratively with teachers, parents, and staff
• Participating in IEP meetings and ongoing student progress monitoring
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date documentation
