Occupational Therapist (OT) – Full-Time | Long-Term Client

Contract: Full 2026–2027 School Year Setting: Multi‑site school assignment (all ages) Location: Las Cruces, New Mexico (Southern NM) Travel Radius: Includes nearby communities such as Deming, Truth or Consequences, and areas near White Sands Additional Recruitment Areas: Strong candidate pool often found in El Paso, TX (only ~46 miles away)

Position Overview

Our long-time school district partner is seeking a full-time Occupational Therapist (OT) for the full 2026–2027 academic year. This role serves students across multiple campuses and age ranges, requiring flexibility, collaboration, and strong clinical judgment.

Key Requirements

• Active NM State Licensure (NMRLD) required by start date

• Active NMPED Certification (New Mexico Public Education Department)

  • NMPED certification is typically fast to obtain if the candidate stays on top of the process

• Willingness to supervise COTA(s)

• Willingness to travel between multiple schools

• Comfortable serving students of all ages (PreK–12)

Role Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect OT services across multiple campuses

• Conduct evaluations, re-evaluations, and progress monitoring

• Supervise and support assigned COTA(s)

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams

• Maintain compliance with NMRLD and NMPED standards

• Participate in IEP meetings and documentation requirements
