The schedule includes two full days focused on direct student services and a half-day reserved for meetings, testing, and collaboration with educators and families. This part-time role spans from the end of August through the end of the school year, providing a chance to see meaningful student growth from start to finish.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Delaware SLP license (CCC-eligible SLPs preferred; consideration given to SLPAs and Clinical Fellows with relevant school-based experience)
- Experience working with elementary-aged students (K-6)
- Strong understanding of direct therapy services, IEPs, assessments, and data-driven instruction
- Effective collaboration abilities with teachers, staff, and families
- Flexibility to adapt as caseload grows or service models shift
- Willingness to be on-site initially; virtual/remote possibility may become available by August
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech and language therapy for diverse elementary-level caseloads
- Conduct assessments, participate in eligibility and progress review meetings, and support compliance documentation
- Coordinate with special education and general education staff for holistic student support
- Foster open communication with caregivers regarding student progress
- Adjust service plans as needed to accommodate a growing caseload and evolving student needs
