Step into a fulfilling contract opportunity supporting students as a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist in the vibrant Laurel, MD area. Assignments span multiple school locations, offering a dynamic environment to apply your expertise. Your commitment of 37.5 hours per week will make a tangible difference throughout the 2026-2027 academic year, beginning August 10, 2026, and ending June 9, 2027.

Preferred candidates hold an active Maryland SLP license and demonstrate proven ability working in educational settings. This position is suited for both experienced SLPs (CCC) and Clinical Fellows (CFY), as long as all work is completed onsite.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Current Maryland SLP license
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or eligibility as a CFY
  • Experience or coursework supporting student communication needs in a school environment
  • Strong collaboration, communication, and documentation skills
  • Availability for full-time, onsite service across multiple sites (candidate zip code required for assignment placement)

Responsibilities:

  • Assess and identify students' speech and language challenges
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans
  • Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Contribute to IEP meetings and comply with all documentation standards
  • Provide direct therapy and measurable progress monitoring
  • Travel between assigned school sites as needed
