Qualifications and Preferred Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
  • Active SLP license in Maryland (or eligibility)
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; CFY candidates welcome
  • Experience with school-based speech and language services
  • Familiarity with IEP development and documentation
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Compassion and creativity in fostering student growth

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide speech-language therapy to students across elementary and secondary grade levels
  • Conduct evaluations, develop treatment plans, and help write/implement IEPs
  • Collaborate with teachers, special educators, families, and other service providers
  • Maintain accurate and timely records, progress notes, and documentation
  • Support students in both individual and group therapy sessions, addressing a range of communication needs
  • Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and school-based intervention teams
  • Contribute to the creation of a positive and inclusive learning environment
