Qualifications and Preferred Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Active SLP license in Maryland (or eligibility)
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; CFY candidates welcome
- Experience with school-based speech and language services
- Familiarity with IEP development and documentation
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Compassion and creativity in fostering student growth
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language therapy to students across elementary and secondary grade levels
- Conduct evaluations, develop treatment plans, and help write/implement IEPs
- Collaborate with teachers, special educators, families, and other service providers
- Maintain accurate and timely records, progress notes, and documentation
- Support students in both individual and group therapy sessions, addressing a range of communication needs
- Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and school-based intervention teams
- Contribute to the creation of a positive and inclusive learning environment
