Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or eligibility for clinical fellowship year (CFY)
- Valid state SLP licensure or ability to obtain prior to start date
- Previous school-based experience preferred, but not required
- Strong interpersonal skills and a passion for working with diverse student populations
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for students K-12
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s needs
- Deliver direct therapy and consultative services in both group and one-on-one settings
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including teachers, psychologists, and families
- Document progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in IEP meetings to support student goals
- Provide resources and training to school staff and caregivers to reinforce communication strategies
