Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Active or pending ABESPA Alabama SLP Certification and/or Alabama SLP DOE Certification (must hold at least one to start; both required eventually)
  • SLP-CCC credentials preferred
  • Previous school-based SLP experience highly valued
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills to partner with teachers, staff, and families
  • Ability to develop and implement effective therapy plans tailored to elementary-aged students

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide speech and language therapy services to students in grades 3 through 6
  • Conduct assessments, develop IEP goals, and maintain accurate documentation
  • Collaborate with instructional teams to support student success
  • Regularly communicate progress to families and educators
  • Foster a positive, inclusive environment for all students
