Step into a rewarding role supporting students’ communication growth in a vibrant educational setting near Kansas City, MO. This contract opportunity, spanning from August 11, 2026, to May 28, 2027, is perfect for Speech-Language Pathologists eager to make an impact across two school sites—an elementary and a middle/high school. You’ll be working with a mixed caseload, focusing on K-5th grade at the elementary level (approximately 28 students), and providing services to about 15 middle/high schoolers. All direct communication with students is in English.

The position is housed in a French Immersion environment, but no French language skills are required. Teachers use French with their classes but collaborate in English for special education support, ensuring a smooth workflow.

Key Qualifications:

  • SLP certification required (open to SLP-CCC and SLP-CFY).
  • Strong experience in school-based or pediatric settings.
  • Comfortable working with diverse, mixed caseloads.
  • Excellent rapport-building and communication skills.
  • Competency in teletherapy practices considered a plus.

What You’ll Do:

  • Deliver direct and indirect speech-language services to K-5 and middle/high students.
  • Assess, develop, and implement IEP goals and individualized treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with educators, including English-speaking SPED teachers, and contribute valuable input during team meetings.
  • Maintain thorough and timely documentation of student progress.
  • Serve both in-person and, if needed, via teletherapy platforms.
