Speech Language Pathologist in Lees Summit, MO

Key Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
• Valid SLP license or eligibility for licensure
• Previous experience in a school-based environment is highly valued
• Familiarity or experience with augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices preferred
• Strong collaborative and communication skills
• Passion for supporting elementary-aged children in their language and communication development

Primary Responsibilities:

• Assess and identify students’ speech and language needs
• Develop and implement IEP goals and individualized therapy plans
• Provide direct interventions for students with communication challenges
• Incorporate AAC systems and training for students when appropriate
• Partner with teachers, specialists, and families to monitor and support progress
• Maintain accurate documentation and participate in team meetings
