Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid SLP license or eligibility for licensure
- Previous experience in a school-based environment is highly valued
- Familiarity or experience with augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices preferred
- Strong collaborative and communication skills
- Passion for supporting elementary-aged children in their language and communication development
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assess and identify students’ speech and language needs
- Develop and implement IEP goals and individualized therapy plans
- Provide direct interventions for students with communication challenges
- Incorporate AAC systems and training for students when appropriate
- Partner with teachers, specialists, and families to monitor and support progress
- Maintain accurate documentation and participate in team meetings
