Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Active state licensure and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
  • Previous experience in a school-based setting strongly preferred
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Familiarity with IEP procedures and documentation
  • Ability to work independently and adapt to varying student needs

Responsibilities:

  • Provide assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for students with speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to student goals
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and collaborate with teachers, staff, and families
  • Document progress and maintain accurate, timely records in line with district and state requirements
  • Consult and train educators on strategies to facilitate communication in the classroom
  • Conduct both individual and group therapy sessions within the elementary school environment
  • Engage families in the therapy process to encourage carryover of strategies at home
