Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field
  • Current, active state licensure for Speech-Language Pathology
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or eligibility
  • Prior experience working in school settings, ideally supporting diverse populations
  • Comfortable with students across K-8 grade levels, including those with complex communication disorders
  • Proficiency in developing IEP goals, conducting evaluations, and documenting progress
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct and consultative speech and language services to K-8 students
  • Assess students' speech, language, and communication abilities using standardized tools
  • Develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals tailored to individual student needs
  • Support students with a variety of disabilities, including non-verbal learners, using AAC and other adaptive tools as needed
  • Document progress, prepare reports, and participate in IEP meetings
  • Offer input and strategies to educators and families to maximize student success
  • Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations for school-based speech therapy
