Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field
- Current, active state licensure for Speech-Language Pathology
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or eligibility
- Prior experience working in school settings, ideally supporting diverse populations
- Comfortable with students across K-8 grade levels, including those with complex communication disorders
- Proficiency in developing IEP goals, conducting evaluations, and documenting progress
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and consultative speech and language services to K-8 students
- Assess students' speech, language, and communication abilities using standardized tools
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals tailored to individual student needs
- Support students with a variety of disabilities, including non-verbal learners, using AAC and other adaptive tools as needed
- Document progress, prepare reports, and participate in IEP meetings
- Offer input and strategies to educators and families to maximize student success
- Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations for school-based speech therapy
