Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the Northeast Philadelphia area, working with K-8th grade students for the upcoming school year. This long-term substitute position runs from August through December, making it a fantastic chance for both experienced SLP-CCC professionals and Clinical Fellows eager to refine their skills in a supportive school setting. The assignment offers a manageable caseload of 40-50 students and features a structured training week prior to students beginning on September 8th.

Key qualifications:

  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or CF eligibility
  • Current Pennsylvania SLP license (or ability to obtain before August)
  • Previous experience with the K-8 student population preferred
  • Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic educational environment

Primary responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct speech and language therapy to students in grades K-8
  • Conduct assessments, write reports, and develop IEP goals
  • Document student progress and participate in IEP meetings
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, staff, and families to support student success
  • Utilize evidence-based practices to address communication challenges
