This contract opportunity begins August 24th and provides on-site services to a small caseload at Acadia Academy, working with students from Kindergarten through 6th grade. Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Current Maine SLP license or eligibility to obtain
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; Clinical Fellows (CFY) are also encouraged to apply
  • Experience providing speech therapy within a school setting is highly valued
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
  • Dedication to supporting diverse student needs and abilities

Core Responsibilities:

  • Conduct speech-language assessments and evaluations for students K-6
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student goals
  • Provide direct intervention and therapy, both individual and small group
  • Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to foster student communication development
  • Maintain timely records, progress reports, and required documentation
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to a multidisciplinary educational team
