This full-time, onsite position runs weekdays from 9:00 am to 4:40 pm, allowing you to make a direct impact on student progress while managing a focused caseload. Your expertise as a Speech-Language Pathologist will be vital in helping students reach their communication goals during this important transitional period.
Key Qualifications:
- Current and valid SLP license required
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology strongly preferred
- Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting, ideally supporting students on the autism spectrum
- Familiarity with developing and implementing IEPs
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Ability to adapt therapy methods to individual student needs
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech-language services to students within the autism program at the elementary level
- Collaborate closely with classroom teachers and support staff to create supportive, consistent interventions
- Conduct assessments, maintain documentation, and monitor student progress
- Participate in staff meetings and IEP teams as needed during your assignment
- Assist with transition planning to ensure continuity of service during and after the leave period
