Step into a rewarding school-based opportunity as a Contract Speech-Language Pathologist, supporting students in an autism program during a maternity leave coverage. This full-time position runs from August 17, 2026, to September 4, 2026, with onsite hours from 9:00 am to 4:40 pm, Monday through Friday. You’ll play a vital role at an elementary school, working among dedicated professionals and making a real impact in a collaborative, student-centered environment.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Active SLP license required
  • Clinical Certificate of Competence (CCC-SLP)
  • Previous experience in a school setting is highly valued
  • Familiarity with autism spectrum disorders and therapeutic interventions
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage students, families, and staff
  • Ability to develop and implement customized communication strategies

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver assessment and direct therapy sessions for students in the school’s autism program
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Collaborate with teachers, paraprofessionals, and families to support communication and academic goals
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and reporting requirements during the assignment period
  • Adapt therapy approaches based on student response, making recommendations for specialized supports as needed
  • Actively contribute to the multidisciplinary school team, sharing expertise and insights
