Step into an exciting opportunity supporting elementary students as a contract Speech-Language Pathologist. This position is designed to cover a maternity leave, beginning mid-September and continuing through December. You’ll be working directly with students in Young 5 through 3rd grade, providing speech and language services essential for their academic and social development. With a manageable caseload and a consistent schedule of 24 hours per week (6 hours a day, 4 days a week), you’ll have the chance to make a meaningful impact in a supportive educational environment.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid state licensure for Speech-Language Pathology
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) or Clinical Fellowship Year (SLP-CFY) eligibility
- Experience working with school-age children, preferably in an elementary setting
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Ability to adapt therapy approaches for diverse learner needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language therapy to students in Young 5 through 3rd grade
- Conduct assessments and interpret evaluation results
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Work collaboratively with educators, administrators, and families
- Maintain timely and accurate documentation
- Support students’ language, articulation, fluency, and pragmatic communication goals
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to instructional planning
