This full-time opportunity offers a rewarding caseload working with a range of mild to severe needs, ensuring every student receives individualized support to achieve their goals.
Responsibilities include:
- Delivering speech and language therapy to elementary and high school students in a school setting.
- Collaborating with teachers, parents, and support staff to develop and implement IEPs tailored to each student's needs.
- Conducting assessments and interpreting results for eligibility and progress monitoring.
- Documenting all interventions, progress, and service delivery in compliance with state and district standards.
- Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings and offering expertise on communication disorders.
- Providing education and counseling to families and staff regarding communication strategies and student support plans.
Qualifications and desired experience:
- Current Colorado Department of Education (CDE) certification as an SLP is required.
- Licensed and certified to practice as an SLP; experience in a school setting (elementary and/or high school) preferred.
- Proven ability to effectively address both mild and severe communication needs across diverse student populations.
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Preference for onsite applicants; might consider virtual/remote professionals with previous school-based teletherapy experience.
- Seeking candidates able to work through the end of the school year.
- Not accepting Clinical Fellows (CFs) for this role.
