This opportunity centers around working at a single elementary school with a manageable caseload of approximately 40-45 students in grades TK-5, allowing for focused, personalized interventions and real relationships with your students and staff.
Key Qualifications/Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Completion of state licensure and credentialing requirements
- Experience with elementary school-aged children (TK-5)
- Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Strong collaborative skills for working with teachers, school staff, and families
- Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational abilities
Core Responsibilities:
- Perform assessments, diagnosis, and treatment of speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders
- Create and manage IEPs tailored to each student’s specific needs, tracking progress diligently
- Provide direct therapy for students one-on-one and in small groups
- Consult with educators and support staff to integrate communication goals within the classroom environment
- Offer guidance and resources to families to help support student progress at home
- Maintain thorough records and participate in meetings as required by the school and district
