Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity as a Speech Language Pathologist for the upcoming school year. This role is designed for professionals passionate about supporting students’ communication development in an educational setting. With a schedule running from August 3, 2026, to May 28, 2027, and standard school hours of 7:30AM to 4PM, Monday through Friday, this position offers the chance to make a meaningful impact during the academic year.
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Valid California licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP)
- Open to both Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates and SLPs holding a Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC)
- Knowledge of school-based speech therapy practices and procedures
- Comfortable managing a caseload of approximately 50-60 students
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Experience working in a school setting is preferred, but motivated new graduates are encouraged to apply
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and diagnose speech, language, communication, and related disorders in students
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's needs
- Deliver direct and indirect therapy services
- Maintain clear documentation of student progress and session notes
- Consult and collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
- Flexible in working across multiple school sites as assigned (locations to be determined)
- Provide proactive support and strategies to help students reach their communication goals
