A rewarding opportunity awaits for a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist eager to work with K-12 students in a supportive, collaborative school setting near Liverpool, NY. For the 2025–2026 academic year (September–June), you’ll play a vital role in promoting student success, focusing primarily on elementary students while also supporting a small number of high schoolers.
Stepping into this contract position, you’ll manage a focused caseload of about 28 students, providing assessment, direct therapy, and partnership with teachers and families. Your expertise will help shape an inclusive learning environment and ensure every student receives tailored guidance on their speech and language journey.
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current state SLP license or eligibility to secure one
- Experience working with school-aged children is a plus
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Effective communication skills and a collaborative spirit
- Familiarity with IEP processes and education law
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments and develop individualized plans
- Deliver direct therapy, adapting approaches to meet diverse student needs
- Partner with educators to implement accommodations and modifications
- Track progress, revise interventions, and maintain clear documentation
- Play an active role in IEP meetings and support goal setting
- Serve as a knowledgeable resource for families, offering ongoing guidance
