Step into an exciting opportunity supporting K-8 students as a part-time contract Speech-Language Pathologist. This position offers a focused daily schedule of 11:30 am to 2:30 pm, totaling 21 sessions per week across four days. You'll be instrumental in helping young learners achieve communication milestones in a welcoming school setting located in the southwest metro area of Syracuse, NY, just outside Liverpool.

Qualifications and Preferred Experience:

  • Active Speech-Language Pathologist licensure (CCC-SLP preferred)
  • Previous experience in a school-based environment, especially with K-8 populations
  • Strong understanding of IEP processes, speech/language intervention, and progress monitoring
  • Ability to collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support each student’s goals
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Flexibility and adaptability within a dynamic school setting

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct speech and language therapy to K-8 students following IEP guidelines
  • Conduct evaluations and generate comprehensive reports to guide interventions
  • Develop tailored treatment plans to address individual student needs
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for holistic student support
  • Maintain accurate documentation, session notes, and progress reports
  • Communicate skillfully with educators and parents regarding student development
