Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Lodi, CA

An exciting opportunity awaits skilled Speech-Language Pathologists (SLP-CCC) eager to make a difference in educational settings. This contract-based role begins in January and requires working in person across multiple programs in the region. Candidates will support diverse learners and collaborate with experienced professionals for the remainder of the school year.

In this role, you will spend two days each week working between an adult Special Day Class (SDC) program and an alternative education program (both at separate sites). The remaining four days will be spent at a high school, partnered with a full-time SLP, where responsibilities include case management, leading IEP meetings, and administering comprehensive assessments.

Ideal candidates demonstrate a passion for helping students achieve communication goals and thrive in varied educational environments. The ability to adapt quickly, communicate clearly, and manage caseload priorities is key to success.

Desired Skills & Qualifications:

• Current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology
• Valid California SLP license
• Experience in schools-based SLP roles, including IEP development and implementation
• Previous work with both adolescent and young adult populations preferred
• Strong evaluation, organization, and documentation skills
• Excellent interpersonal and teamwork abilities
• Flexibility to travel between sites as needed

Primary Responsibilities:

• Conduct speech, language, and communication assessments
• Manage IEP caseloads and facilitate meetings
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized intervention plans
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, educators, and families
• Deliver direct and consultative services to students
• Maintain timely records and progress reports
