As you support a population of K-4th grade students, your professional experience will expand as you work alongside a collaborative team. With 1 SLPA on-site and 6 SLPs district-wide, mentorship and guidance are readily available. The structured caseload (68 students, with 27 focused on teacher record/case management), mild/moderate severity, and a dedicated speech room ensure you have the resources and support to thrive. This assignment is an outstanding way to build your resume, gain exposure to diverse workplace practices, and develop fresh perspectives on leadership and care.

Qualifications:

  • Valid SLP license for Indiana (or eligibility)
  • Experience in a school-based setting preferred
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Motivated, flexible, and collaborative work approach

Responsibilities:

  • Provide speech and language services to K-4th grade students
  • Manage a caseload of 68, including case management for 27
  • Develop and implement IEPs
  • Collaborate with teachers, families, and fellow SLPs/SLPAs
  • Utilize a designated speech area for services
  • Adhere to a 7:30am-3:00pm schedule (37.5 hours/week)
