Speech Therapist in Long Beach, CA

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students as a Speech-Language Pathologist for the 2026-2027 school year. You'll work in a vibrant educational environment near Long Beach, CA, providing essential speech and language therapy services to help students reach their full potential.

This role features a consistent weekday schedule, Monday through Friday from 7:45 AM to 3:15 PM, totaling 35 hours per week. You will manage a caseload of approximately 55 students, collaborating with teachers, families, and school staff to foster communication skills that will make an enduring impact.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
• Current California SLP licensure or eligibility
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred
• Previous experience in a school setting is desirable
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• Passion for supporting students with diverse communication needs

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for students on your caseload
• Develop and implement individualized therapy plans based on assessment results and IEP goals
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support educational outcomes
• Provide direct therapy services and document student progress
• Participate in IEP meetings and communicate regularly with families and staff
• Maintain accurate records and comply with all district and state requirements
