Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students as a Speech-Language Pathologist in a dynamic educational setting near Long Beach, CA. This full-time, on-site role spans the academic year, from mid-August to early June, with a consistent weekday schedule from 7:30am to 4:00pm.

Responsibilities will focus on providing speech and language services to a caseload averaging 55-60 students across 1-4 assigned campuses (typically two). You will have dedicated case managers at each campus, so your expertise will be directed toward assessments, therapy, and collaboration with students, parents, and educational teams. Age groups will span elementary to high school, offering a varied and impactful experience.

Qualified candidates must have:

  • A valid California Speech-Language Pathology license
  • A California SLP Teaching Credential
  • A Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Experience in a school-based setting preferred (although Clinical Fellows are encouraged to apply, provided supervision is confirmed)
  • Willingness to travel between campuses if assigned itinerantly
  • Commitment to providing high-quality, individualized student care
  • Comfort conducting comprehensive speech and language assessments (reimbursement for assessment materials is available)

As part of this contract position, you will benefit from a supportive district team, the chance to work with diverse student populations, and a clear focus on student progress without case management responsibilities. Assessment material costs will be reimbursed.

Make a meaningful contribution to students’ educational journeys in an engaging and supportive environment. Whether you are an experienced SLP or a Clinical Fellow with supervision in place, your skills can make a difference. Take the next step in your career—apply today!

Compensation for this position ranges from $47.53 to $67.53. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals. Full details of our healthcare benefits plan can be found here. This posting is open for 60 days after the posting date.
