Pre-School Certified School Speech Language Pathologist - Long Beach, California

Key Qualifications and Experience:

• Active, valid certification and licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
• Previous experience with preschool-aged children in educational settings
• Expertise in assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of speech, language, and communication disorders
• Comfortable contributing to multidisciplinary assessment teams
• Familiarity with supporting students in Mild Moderate SDC classrooms
• Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills
• Collaborative, flexible approach and commitment to student success

Primary Responsibilities:

• Assess and identify students’ speech and language needs within preschool and mild-moderate special day class populations
• Design and implement individualized therapy programs
• Participate actively in the Preschool Assessment Team, sharing insights and collaborating on interventions
• Consult and coordinate with teachers, administrators, and families regarding student progress and strategies for support
• Conduct ongoing progress monitoring and adjust therapy techniques, as needed
• Maintain accurate records and documentation according to district protocols
• Support inclusive practices and promote language development in diverse learners
